A Canadian driver will be claiming on her womans car insurance this week after her car was written off when it hit a giant pothole in Toronto.
City chiefs are blaming the freeze-thaw cycle that the country is experiencing currently for eroding the roads and causing the potentially damaging craters all over the city.
The woman driver told reporters at CityNews, "I was just driving to work, and I ran over a huge pothole, and my air bag ended up deploying, and it has been a total mess since then."
Police estimate the damage to the female driver's car to be approximately $6,000 (£3,318).
A spokesperson for CoverGirl commented, "UK drivers are also seeing an increased number of potholes on UK roads as a result of recent weather conditions and we advise our customers to drive carefully when approaching them.
"Making a claim for pothole damage repairs on your womans car insurance could mean loss of no-claims bonus and would see your renewal car insurance quote increase."
