Research shows women deserve cheap car insurance quotes

Recent research by an Australian motor insurance provider has revealed that ladies are well deserving of their abilities to get cheap car insurance quotes.

The study, carried out by AAMI, showed that men have a number of traits which mean they are worse drivers than women.

The car insurance company's results revealed that men are more aggressive than women behind the wheel, with 47% of men surveyed admitting to having gestured rudely at another driver compared to 38% of women.

AAMI's findings also suggest that men are more likely to drink drive than women. Just 30% of female drivers said that they had driven while over the legal alcohol limit, whilst 55% of men said that they had done so.

The most telling statistic when it comes to cheap car insurance quotes, however, came about when men and women were asked whether they had ever been in an accident. A much larger number of men than ladies replied affirmatively - 84% compared to 77%.

AAMI also claims that the accidents men have tend to be more serious than those that ladies are involved in, meaning there is even more evidence backing cheap car insurance for women.

A company spokesperson said: "Our claims data shows that men's crashes tend to be more serious than women's.

"[Men] are more likely to be involved in head-on collisions, roll-overs and loss of control crashes, as well as crashes involving pedestrians, cyclists and animals."
