Pinpoint device to protect ladies car insurance

For ladies, car insurance quotes are normally quite cheap but savvy women are always on the lookout for more savings to make. A new security device from Motorpoint is providing better protection from thieves which will hopefully prevent motor insurance claims and may also offer cheaper car insurance premiums.

Statistics from the Home Office reveal that there were 1.7 million thefts of vehicles in the 2005/2006 year, many of which would have resulted in costly claims on ladies' car insurance policies and much inconvenience to the owners.

The Pinpoint device from Motorpoint is a tracking device and immobilisation unit which is designed to prevent the vehicle being stolen and, if it is stolen, help locate and recover it. The detailed tracking service can help to identify where a vehicle is to within 10 metres and the coordinates it gives can even be used to give an online visual representation of its position.

A spokesperson for Motorpoint said: "We have seen a rise in the number of customers who want a higher level of security than that provided by standard manufacturer immobiliser and alarm systems.

"For most people, buying a car is likely to be the second biggest purchase in their lifetime, and we are now in a position to offer our buyers added peace of mind for very little cost, compared to that of losing a vehicle."
