The suggestion that woman car insurance should be not be any cheaper than motor insurance for men has been disputed by a spokesperson for Sheilas' Wheels.
The issue of whether price differences in car insurance for women and men has recently been under discussion with regard to EU gender laws.
However, the woman car insurance company's spokesperson has argued that it is completely justified to give ladies cheaper car insurance rates because of their lower accident rate.
She said: "Women tend to drive fewer miles, close to home and have minor, low-speed accidents that result in less costly claims."
She also pointed out that ladies are much less likely to have a dangerous driving conviction than men, whilst also being much less likely to be prosecuted after an accident in which someone was seriously hurt or killed.
Fortunately for female drivers across the UK, the discussion was found in favour of continuing to offer ladies motor insurance for less.
