New research just published has revealed that when deciding on car insurance, female drivers are choosing quotes for smaller cars.
Nine out of ten quotes for vehicle cover that female motorists apply for have been shown to be for petite - and arguably less macho cars - such as the Ford Ka and Renault Clio.
So smaller is better for the fairer sex, according to the study by comparison website confused.com, including makes and models such as Vauxhall Corsas, Mini Coopers, Ford Fiestas and Peugeot 206 cars.
The study also found that men are financial losers compared to women when it comes to vehicle running costs. As well as cheaper insurance, women can make big savings on mileage with compact models like the Corsa able to cover 50 miles for every gallon of petrol.
For men and women, insurance costs can be an important consideration
when deciding which car to buy. When choosing suitable and cheap
car insurance, females would be wise to consider CoverGirl for a competitive
quote.
