Female drivers living in London are more likely to buy second-hand motors than those living elsewhere in the UK, according to a recent study by Sainsbury's Bank.
When buying a second-hand car, female drivers will make great savings on their cheap car insurance, leaving them with more money to spend on a night out in the West End.
The findings from the motor insurance firm's survey showed that 17% of Londoners, both male and female motorists, plan to buy a used car before summer 2008.
A spokesperson for Sainsbury's Bank urged people to try their luck with a bit of haggling when buying a used motor.
The cheap car insurance company's representative said: "Despite the fact that haggling can save the buyer hundreds or even thousands of pounds, many of us are reluctant to do this."
