A Manchester woman who came home early one night to find her husband performing "lewd acts" in front of a webcam was shocked further to find he was titillating another man.
Spurned wife Fiona Marsden then went on a drinking binge of such epic proportions that she ended up crashing her car and assaulting a retired judge.
It took an awful lot of vodka to drown her sorrows in a local bar, and if Marsden hadn't twigged she was unfit to drive when they threw her out she must have questioned her ability after crashing into a pair of parked cars on the way home to her abashed partner.
Heedless of the damage to either vehicle or her responsibility to provide motor insurance details, Marsden then tried to flee the scene of the crash.
In stepped passing local Tony Broadley, a former judge, to restrain her. But Marsden was having none of it - she punched him in the face and buried one of her unloved feet in the lawman's groin.
Judge Broadley might have suffered more grievous injury if the emergency services hadn't arrived at that point. Marsden was then professionally restrained.
Later in court, a sobered-up Marsden admitted assault and dangerous driving. She has been banned from getting behind the wheel for 18 months and will struggle to find cheap car insurance for women even after that period. For his troubles, magistrates ordered £100 compensation for Judge Broadley out of his assailant's pocket.
Besides her driving ban and the loss of cheap car insurance for women, it seems likely Marsden will be fired from her current job - as a social worker.
Her husband has since moved in with a male lover.
