Wife not content with woman car insurance savings

A female driver could face up to 10 years in prison after leaving her disabled husband locked in a car whilst trying her luck at an Iowa casino.

Not only might the lady have saved money with woman car insurance but the 52-year-old thought that she would hit the casino in a bid to fill her pockets with even more cash.

Making sure that she had no distractions, the lady locked her husband in her car and left a note in the window for any passers-by who may have been concerned.

The note read, "I have a disability. Do not be alarmed. I am resting. Do not call security."

Security guards discovered the 58-year-old man asleep in the vehicle an hour later; he had been trapped in the car as temperatures reached a freezing 2C (28F).

It is not believed that the event could have an effect on the woman's motor insurance but if found guilty of leaving her husband, she could face spending up to 10 years in prison.

A county attorney commented on the event and said, "This is the first time I've been made aware of this type of such a situation being unattended.

"It's something we're taking very seriously. It'd really be little different than having an infant left unattended in a parking garage, in terms of being able to look after himself, to care for himself."

If the woman is sentenced for the incident, it could be a long time before she next searches around for a cheap woman car insurance quote.
