A 25-year-old who failed to get ladies' car insurance before taking to the roads has been sentenced at Fermanagh Magistrates' Court.
The female driver, who had not passed her driving test, was stopped at a vehicle checkpoint as she travelled to work in her Vauxhall Vectra. Upon being stopped, she admitted that she did not have any motor insurance.
Further, she was found to be driving without displaying 'L' plates and in a vehicle that did not have a current test certificate; offences to which she admitted her guilt.
At court, her defence solicitor explained that she had needed to get to work and had decided to risk driving even though she did not have any ladies' car insurance arranged and the vehicle had not passed its test.
Across her motoring offences, she was given £370 in fines, six penalty points, and a 12 month conditional discharge by the resident magistrate.
