Car accidents injure pets too
We've heard of woman's car insurance that covers your handbag in the event of a car accident, but how about cover for your canine?
In the US some car insurance companies are offering extra cover for dogs injured or killed in car accidents, with some firms offering it as a free bonus.
A spokesperson for one car insurance firm said, "We've had several calls asking about the coverage for pet insurance. It's no different than a human being, they have bones that break, they need surgery and things like that."
It is unclear how many, if any, woman's car insurance firms in the UK offer accident cover for pets, but CoverGirl does offer vehicle breakdown cover with its policies at a great price, so at least, you and your animal will never be stuck out on the road.
