Woman's car insurance, female racing drivers and extreme sport

Female drivers have for several years now been able to buy their woman's car insurance from dedicated providers such as CoverGirl, but trying to find up-to-the-minute motoring news aimed specifically at women has not always been so easy.

In January 2009, Girlracer launched a new interactive website to provide news, features and competitions for women involved in motorsport and extreme sports of all kinds.

Starting out in 2000, Girlracer was originally an online forum for female motoring enthusiasts, but gradually became a recognised resource for and promoter of females in extreme sport.

In the press release for the website it was said that Girlracer was proud to sponsor female racers in many disciplines, such as powerboat champions, downhill skiing medallists and many national and international female racing drivers.
