A woman's car insurance customer may have put her cheap premiums at risk after driving into a lamppost.
The female driver was travelling along the A583 Blackpool to Preston Road when she lost control of her Ford Focus and crashed into a lamppost.
According to eyewitness accounts, she suffered minor injuries in the accident but did not need hospital treatment.
A spokesperson for CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, the experts in woman's car insurance said: "Females are renowned for their excellent motoring skills, and that's why they get such cheap motor insurance, but from time to time we do have the occasional accident. Fortunately in this case, it does not appear that anybody was seriously injured."
