Although speed bumps are definitely a big annoyance to today's road user, it appears that women's car insurance buyers are not as bothered by them as men, according to a new survey.
Swinton car insurance services surveyed 1,000 car insurance buyers, and found that 73% of the men rated speed bumps as the biggest annoyance on UK roads. Of the women, on the other hand, only 45% said the speed restrictors are their biggest gripe.
It was also revealed that out of those questioned, 62% of motorists have needed to get their cars repaired speed bumps caused damage.
According to the survey, the top five road annoyances were:
A spokesperson for CoverGirl, the specialist provider of women's car insurance, commented, "Although speed bumps are annoying, they are an effective speed deterrent and only by driving over them slowly will drivers avoid damage to their cars.
"If you try and claim on your women's car insurance for speed bump damage you are likely to lose out financially as you will lose your no-claims bonus."
