Women's car insurance customers change winter tyres
Women's car insurance customers have been warned to check their tyres to prevent the number of accidents on wet and icy roads.
A leaflet created by TyreSafe has urged motorists to consider using cold weather tyres during the winter months, especially when the temperature drops below seven degrees centigrade.
A spokesperson said: "While the market for this type of tyre in the UK is currently small, cold weather tyres are becoming increasingly popular across the rest of Europe."
Commenting on the story, a spokeswoman for CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, the experts in women's car insurance added: Anybody who wants to protect their cheap motor insurance premiums can always benefit from ensuring their car is safe on the road. If cold weather tyres react better in cold conditions then they could easily prevent possible accidents."
