Womens car
insurance providers continually say that a small car will help you
get the cheapest
car insurance quote, and recently a really, really small car appeared
on the streets of London.
The Peel P50 measures just 134cm long and 99cm wide, weighs in at just 59kg and utilises the 49cc engine from a moped. This miniscule, one-seater town car has arrived in the capital to appear in a museum in Piccadilly Circus.
Famously driven by one of the tallest motoring TV presenters, Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear, the P50 is the smallest car ever to go into production.
The Peel engineering company based on the Isle of Man produced 50, between 1963 and 1964, retailing for just under £200.
Advertised as seating one adult and a shopping bag, the tiny three-wheeled marvel has one headlight, one door and a single windscreen wiper.
To see the diminutive vehicle and decide for yourself whether you'd like to take on the city streets in this motorised box visit The Daily Mail online.
While womens car insurance companies will still suggest small is best when it comes to the size of your engine related to the cost of your renewal quote, this is perhaps smaller than they have in mind.
