Australian ladies less willing to risk car insurance quotes by speeding

Australian researchers have found that ladies are less likely to risk their ability to get cheap car insurance quotes by excessive speeding than men.

The Australian motor insurance company SGIC revealed that 12% of female drivers in South Australia will go above 150km per hour, compared to 45% of male motorists.

In some areas of the country there are even greater differences between the two genders when it comes to putting their safety and their car insurance quotes at risk by going far over the speed limit.

In Queensland, for example, 48% of men admit to speeding on the roads compared to just 4% of women.

A spokesperson for CoverGirl Car Insurance Services commented: "This research suggests that ladies' more sensible driving attitudes are found all over the world, not just in the UK.

"This is exactly the reason that women's car insurance is generally much cheaper than men's."
