With car insurance companies battling to offer the cheapest price, many drivers looking for cover are finding that they have to pay for extra services that used to come as standard. This is causing many motorists to 'skimp' on their insurance and only pay for the basic cover on their women's car insurance.
Optional extras such as guaranteeing your no claims bonus, legal expense cover, breakdown cover and the use of a courtesy car, now all come at an extra price. These are all items that would have previously been included on a comprehensive policy. However, as drivers become more money-conscious, the competition for the cheapest quote has become fierce, leading car insurance companies to strip back their policies.
William Thomas, head of car insurance for Confused.com says that optional extras "are all worthwhile, it is just about getting what you need."
Extras such as no claims bonus protection and legal expenses cover should not be left out as the consequences of not having them can prove costly if you have an accident.
A Covergirl spokesperson said, "Car owners need to be careful what they save on, with Covergirl women's car insurance you get an innovative and really competitive car insurance product as standard."
