Renault 5
This 1980s looking advert is a classic example of why motorists wanted to buy a Renault 5. The advert with its disco music makes the car seem so nippy yet so full of space - it even shows a couple carrying a pair of parrots on the back seat. And that's not all, the advert also shows that anybody of any class would benefit from owning a Renault 5, especially when you can get such affordable motor insurance.
Renault Clio
The new design of the Renault Clio made way for a new type of advert, one where a French Sophie and British Ben argue the merits of both their countries. As the two compare the Eiffel Tower with Blackpool Tower and Jean-Paul Sartre to Shakespeare, the audience can definitely tell that there is a little flirtatious spark between the pair. The next chapter of the advert even sees Sophie invite Ben in for coffee, to which he suggests they drink tea.
Renault 11
This classic 1980s advert shows video footage of endless traffic jams with a radio announcement saying that its choka-block on the roads. The driver of the Renault 11 then swerves out of the traffic and navigates around the city's back roads before he reaches his final destination to which the voiceover says: "For drivers who know its tough on the streets." Of course any driver who bought one of these great cars would have received a cheap Renault car insurance quote.
Renault 25
Woman car insurance customers would have loved this advert during the 1980s as more females were becoming empowered in the typically male-dominated office. The advert shows a lady dressed in work clothes shaking hands with a business partner who then drops a set of car keys in her hands. She drives off in her Renault 25, stops, and makes a call from the car phone to a man telling him that the women he had breakfast with that morning wouldn't be able to make it the next morning because she'll be far too busy flying around the world on business meetings. The man, her husband, replies "You got the job" and asks about the car to which she says "I think you'll like it."
