Head of Renault's aerodynamics, Dino Toso, believes team spirit was a major part of their successful year in racing and said: "At the end of the season we got performance out of the car, which was great.
"Before you know it you are fighting with Ferrari for the next championship. They were blisteringly quick. Credit to them because it is a team sport."
What Car? Safety Award, various Renault models
In 2005, and for the sixth year in a row, Renault was awarded this fantastic
title for their continuing focus on car safety, especially after two of
their most recent models, the Modus and Megane Coupe-Cabriolet, received
a five star rating from Euro NCAP.
Editor of What Car?, Dave Motton, said: "Renault leads the way for car safety. It's new Modus supermini and Megane Coupe-Cabriolet both earned a maximum five stars in recent Euro NCAP crash tests, meaning Renault now has seven models with this coveted rating - four more than any other manufacturer."
