Woman car insurance holders show off in driving challenge

Lady drivers from Swindon have been showing off the superior driving skills that earned them cheap women car insurance premiums during a recent charity event at RAF Lyneham. The Prospect Hospice Ladies Driving Challenge saw over 100 women swapping their regular car for an HGV before negotiating a specially marked course around the airfield.

The vehicles on offer included articulated lorries, double-decker buses and tractors, but the ladies rose to the challenge ably, impressing the RAF squadron leader in charge.

"It has gone really well," he said, afterward. "There has been a lot of support from all the women who have taken part and are raising money for the hospice."

Located not far from Swindon, Wiltshire's Prospect Hospice is there to give support for patients and families who are affected by life-threatening illness. It provides this service free of charge, through funding from local hospitals and charity projects like the Ladies Driving Challenge.

"It's great to hear about women using their skills behind the wheel for more than just cheap car insurance rates, particularly if it benefits a charity as deserving as the Prospect Hospice," said a spokesperson for CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, the woman car insurance specialists.

*A replacement car can normally be arranged under one of the following conditions: (1) Comprehensive policyholders – a replacement car may be available under the terms of your insurance policy. (2) Non fault accident – where we have the name, car registration number and insurance details of the person who caused the accident, we can supply a replacement car. This is done on a credit hire basis which means the costs for this service will be passed onto the insurance company of the person who caused the accident. We may not be able to arrange a replacement car where we are unable to get an admission of liability from their insurance company, or where the driver is untraceable or uninsured. (3) Repair garage – if your car is booked in for repairs following an accident, the repair garage may be able to provide a replacement car (subject to availability).
