A new sat nav system that could save thousands of ladies from losing their cheap woman car insurance premiums has been launched.
When a driver purchases a Rossini Navigator they also get a guarantee that they will not get caught out by any speed cameras. If they do get a speeding conviction because the Navigator failed, the company promises to give them £60 in compensation.
The Rossini Navigator, which is manufactured by Car Part Direct, knows the location of more than 24,000 speed cameras across the UK and is familiar with more than 270,000 miles of road.
When a motorist approaches a speed camera, they will be warned to watch their speed by the sat nav device. It can also monitor a driver's speed all the time, issuing a warning when they break the speed limit.
Each year more than 1 million drivers are caught speeding by the much-maligned cameras and many lose their chance of cheap motor insurance quotes as a result.
Mark Cornwall, of Car Part Direct, said: "What was needed was a first class sat nav package with postcode search, turn-by-turn, door-by-door journey instructions and first class speed cameras spotter - because we offer a guaranteed £60 cashback the Rossini had to be 100 percent reliable."
Lee-Anne Bass, of woman car insurance company CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, commented: "Although this device sounds like an excellent product, motorists really are better off just keeping to the speed limit rather than slowing down when they know there is a speed camera coming up."
