Receiving a drink-driving conviction will almost certainly affect your ability to get cheap woman's car insurance. However, if you choose not to tell your insurer when renewing your premium, it can have severe consequences.
Norwich Union insurance services have issued a warning to drivers who do not inform insurers of previous drink-driving convictions that they risk having their car insurance voided if they make a claim.
However, NU spokesperson Erik Nelson, rejected speculation that more cases of female drink-drivers would adversely affect cheap motor insurance for women.
He added, "If you want a drink, consider taking a taxi or public transport, or having a designated driver, if you are out with friends."
A CoverGirl spokesperson said, "In the event of a claim, if you have failed to inform your insurer of any motoring offence, your woman's car insurance could be invalid. This would have serious consequences for all parties involved in a car accident."
