A woman from Willenhall, Staffordshire, is celebrating after being picked to star in a TV ad for women's car insurance.
The 43-year-old mum of two was selected out of thousands of applicants after she had decided to enter a Sheilas' Wheels competition in a bid to cheer her friend up.
She said: "I had a friend who was down in the dumps and she said we ought to go for it. I did mine online and answered the tie-breaker question, but a few days later it emerged my friend hadn't applied.
"Then I had a letter from Sheilas' Wheels saying I had almost made the final 50 and asked me to submit some more pictures. Then about a week later I was told I'd made the last 50 and was invited to the audition."
After being selected as one of the final 30 ladies who would appear in the women's car insurance advertisement, she was called down to Surrey for filming.
She commented: "It was absolutely fantastic. It was the opportunity of a lifetime and I will never forget it."
A spokesperson for the ladies' motor insurance company said: "Annette's Sheila factor shone through at the Make Me A Sheila Star auditions and at Shepperton Studios during the filming of the new Sheilas' Wheels advert."
